Review: Greenpoint, Brooklyn
:: To kick off our neighborhood field trips, Rachel and I decided to venture north to Greenpoint, which is in the upper west section of Brooklyn. Greenpoint is known for its large Polish population (43%), but because it borders Williamsburg, the neighborhood still feels young.
Greenpoint has this comfortably-cool charm to it (as opposed to Williamsburg that is more in-your-face cool) that Rachel completely fell in love with. There are single family homes everywhere, a great grocery store centrally located (Key Food on McGuinness and Calyer St), and McCarren Park is just a stone’s throw away.
